I don't think the Democratic Party can be reformed, but I adore Ralph Nader. He has a lot of knowledge about how things work, and what needs to be done. I think the efforts need to go towards forming a solid Third Party.
Agreed, however without massive citizen action -- protests, boycotts, strikes and general strikes, community mutual aid, etc -- to economically cripple the system, I don't know that a third party can be successful in such a corrupt fascist state (any semblance of American democracy is long, long dead). Voting is simply not enough.
Oh, I agree that voting is not enough. I am commenting on the article you posted about "The Straw that Broke the Fascists Back", and it will explain what I mean by a solid "third party" presence.
Piggy Boy, I LOVE having your types comment ... so much fun to play with and so much revealed about (lack of) character, compassion, linguistic skill and just plain nastiness. Folks like you are the single best demonstration of Rumpism.
As an old high school social studies teacher of mine used to say: "Go far enough to the right and far enough to the left and you wind up in the same spot.
BTW, do you prefer a pronoun? Don't want to inadvertently offend you.
apparently you cannot read or comprehend to well. Try again…read my profile. Mark…you’re a less than in society. Anyone that references a teacher? My goodness you must be so stupid and miserable. Read and comprehend.
Elon? lol you are a useless societal reprobate. He’s not a Nazis. The Nazis are you and your ilk. You do understand that you ….personally are just a little beta cunt typing on Substack. Nothing more, no accomplishments, zero credibility and certainly won’t make a difference in the world ever. But keep going it entertains the adults in the room. By the way the McKinley Trump comparison was a garbage article. Pure D-..
Agree, Aunty. I voted for Mr. Nader for POTUS twice. Who would make a better president than a man who has dedicated his life to the safety of the American people?
I’ve been denigrated over and over for voting for Jill Stein, who “didn’t have a snowball’s chance of winning”.
Well, duh. Amerikkkans are too stupid to vote for someone of Jill’s character. I tried to explain to these idiots, It’s not about winning this election. It’s about getting her to 5% of the vote which would ensure federal funding for the Green Party’s next go-round.
Well, Jill got a whopping 1%. Stupid, stupid fucking Amerikkkans; we will be stuck with the same fucking duopoly in ‘28.
Puke.
PS My already wealthy brother-in-law voted for Trump for the simple reason that “He’d be good for my finances”. Can you fucking imagine?!
Nobody in my community talks about the genocide at all. If I had similar discussions I would simply observe, "Oh, so you support genocide that has killed 200,000, maimed and orphaned many more and are comfortable with a completely manufactured war by the corrupt Nato that has killed close to 1.5 million when a peace agreement had already been initialed. I guess we have two different sets of values."
I've also thought that I would be willing to talk about October 7th, as long as they were willing to discuss Oct. 6 and the eighty Oct. 6s before that.
I'd also be interested in hearing them describe a "good" or "nicer" genocider: "Please, explain the humanitarianism of that!"
As they would begin yelling and evading, I'd probably just walk away. Whether on the Right or Left, no use in debating with brainwashed idiot sociopaths.
United Healthcare is its own worse enemy when it comes to sabotaging their public relations... Why attack the honorable Dr. Potter who stands up for the health of her patients? Whatever "sympathy" they might have gotten from their dead CEO Brian What's-His-Hame has totally evaporated after this stunt. In Luigi we trust indeed!
Their self-sabotage is grounded in corporate arrogance and self-entitlement. And they are actually confused by the sympathy and support for Luigi? Such entitled little blockheads.
What makes you so sure the voters who got screwed by voting for Obama aren’t the SAME people who got screwed by voting for Trump? To a highly significant extent, they are.

You seem vapid and ignorant
And you appear to be highly intelligent, well-read and one who works to build alliances to create a better world for all.
Just kidding.
Hey, get your lunch box, the school bus is about to arrive!
That’s it? Wow! I’d expect a better comeback from a supposed Author. You seem quite vapid and vacuous.

Now, note, I also have similar fun and appreciation for your left wing version: Woke cultists. ( https://mark192.substack.com/p/blue-maga-genocidal-democrat-crybabies )

Who ARE these fascists you speak of? We see none. Protests and boycotts never work. All capitalism must be abolished…really?

Just think.......IF people had voted for Nader how the US would look now. Wonderful man.
Agree, Aunty. I voted for Mr. Nader for POTUS twice. Who would make a better president than a man who has dedicated his life to the safety of the American people?
....voters in a country (mis)led by two corrupt corporate-owned parties
Beautifully put.
If only the voters on both ends would wake up! 🙏
Time for more parties to enter the stage to have topics properly reflected.
Chosing betwen plague and cholera every four years is really not a viable option anymore - and the voters took it why for so long?
And last, but not least: do away with the outdated unjust EC!
"Chosing betwen plague and cholera every four years" ... a good description of the non-existent voting choice here in 'Murica.

My own (wealthy) brother voted for Jill.

Of course they are. It's been well documented. Some people learn after being hosed over once. Others take a few dousings.
