Maybe Mr. Van Orden was there--he was just "invisible" and hiding in the corner, cowering, listening in on the conversation to see how many of his constituents want to tar and feather him.
(At least you do have town halls--our representative, Marcy Kaptur, can't even bother to show up anywhere the general public can find her. When activists do track her down in public, Marcy turns tail and runs away. Buck, buck, buck--ba-WOK!! Chicken woman.)
I don't know, Van Chicken has a REALLY big unearned ego pumped up on hot air and cow farts, so I don't think he could hide anywhere. The boy just runs... "Cluck, Cluck...CUCK!!!"
We are losing the war so I made the decision to not be part of the theatre of propaganda by ignoring almost all politicians (especially Americans and South Africans). I wasn't getting anywhere by being reactionary because that's the distraction their masters hope for.
Mike, what are your thoughts/suggestions for meaningful/effective resistance? I am encouraged to see the Congressional Town Hall push back and Bernie Sanders' "Oligarchy" crowds -- HUGE crowd in Denver a day or two ago -- but will anything come of it? The Democrats are feckless, tone-deaf and as bought off by corporate and Zionist donors as the Republicans and there is no unified worker or leftist resistance that I am seeing
I occasionally hear of some labor union actions and there may be more the corporate media are suppressing, but without class based resistance to the two-party corporate con I don't know how there can be any kind of effective counter.
Musk/trump are just flooding the zone. Every news cycle brings some new disaster, outlandish action, stupidly distracting Offal Office prattle, overwhelming people.
Mark, please watch Sabby Sabs’ take on the subject of Bernie and AOC, who want to somehow REFORM the Democratic Party, when starting a third party would make far more sense, since the duopoly is UNREFORMABLE!
Saw it and agree with Sabby. Sanders and AOC are just wasting the opportunity to lead a movement and build a meaningful third party. Their job is to give the illusion that the Democratic party cares and is different than the GOP and sheepdog the left into the voting booth to vote harder.
The crowds showing up for Sanders and AOC shows the potential that could be built upon for true reform. There is huge potential for a true progressive, worker-centered political movement to undo the billionaire putsch. The cynicism and hypocrisy of Sanders and AOC is as performative and slimy as anything you see with Trump exploiting the legitimate needs and frustrations of the MAGA folks.
As long as Citizens United permits corporate ownership of the political system, there is no hope through the political process. Time for massive strikes, targeted boycotts etc.
