People I know here in Europe already joking about deleting their social media or not even bringing a smart phone if they have to travel to the US.

True statement. I often think how fortunate young Roland and his fellow dead servicemen are. They didn't live to see the horrible fascist state of the US government today. They're safe where they are now while the rest of us are at risk as we speak out and protest against it.

I quit celebrating "US patriotic holidays" several years back. Don't get me talking about how much I despise the Fourth of July nowadays. I'm glad my parents and grandparents are gone--They would feel so hurt and confused why their sacrifices in WWII were all in vain.

The pretense and hypocrisy of it all really are hard to take. Now our stated values are completely unhinged from the reality of the United Corporate State of 'Murica. That tricked out pick-up truck in the final photo really says it all.
