If they try to start a draft... I'd hope we'd see some more protests and marches in the streets. The only people who should be sent to fight in Ukraine is Lloyd and all his cronies. On the very front lines, too.
I remember when the draft ended and the leftist movement just about completely evaporated. I am supportive of return of the military draft, with no deferments other than serious medical cases. Imagine how things would be different if the pampered offspring of billionaire hedge fund ghouls were as likely as a Black kid from the inner city to be drafted and sent off to one of our useless, doomed-to-failure wars for oil. Not that the ghouls would ever let that happen. But just imagine.
It will be interesting to see what happens if/when Biden leads -- or trips -- us into war and they have to reinstate the draft. Currently, the military has been offering sign-on bonuses and increased benefits and still can't meet their recruitment goals.
The oligarchs will never let their children/grandchildren be drafted. It will always be the poor inner city kids, poor rural kids, POC kids, homeless kids who will become cannon fodder. That's what we've been bred for in the richies' opinion. We're to be thrown in numbers at the "enemies" who are keeping them from making profits. And no one is signing up nowadays because like Ohio Barbarian says, "Which oil company are we fighting for today?"
