After WW II there were supposed to be Congressional hearings on the US corporations that ACTIVELY did business with the Nazi regime during the war, then suddenly - POOF! -- the hearings were cancelled and the corporations kept their blood money.
Then as a measure of hubris, some of those same corporations sued the US government for compensation for bombing damage done to some of their manufacturing facilities in Germany during the war. And got reimbursed.
