Speechless. Your perception of the message is not their’s … but they don’t even know what they are really saying!! When we, as humans, say the quiet part out loud while unbeknownst to ourselves … well, we are in a dangerous place.

Folks: these are gadgets. They’re stupid gadgets. Toys. Playthings. They have no significance. Put them down. Don’t engage with them. Don’t let them spy on you and ruin your days. Talk to each other in person.

Excellent advice. I read that on social media! :)

I live in a beautiful little town on the shore of Lake Michigan. As with most evenings, I went for a 40-minute walk. Tonight, as with most evenings in that 40 minutes I don't see a SINGLE person out for a walk, sitting on their lovely porches, puttering in their yards or see any kids bicycling by (or zooming by on electric bikes) or even hear kids playing in backyards. It's like a ghost town.

The world has become so bizarre.

Our beaches used to full of bikini-clad women. Now it's only on holidays, and the figures aren't as figureish.

Children don’t play outside anymore. Years ago I had to teach my nephews and nieces how to play Ghost in the Graveyard, Kick the Can, Bottle of Poison, all the games I played as a child in a neighborhood filled with kids of all ages - I was never at a loss to find someone to play with. It was like I was teaching them secret Voodoo rituals. They had never heard of these games or knew anything about the rules.

We’re very much living apart from each other and in fear and isolation.

Oh, I don't know that I could write anything approaching my reaction to it. In a God awful, hollowing out way it is one of the most brutally eloquent portrayals of the world unfolding before us. Those without a brain -- or soul -- can't begin to grasp the message. They will simply go along and be squished like one of those cans of paint.
