When you look at all failed and falling empires that have drained their populations of wealth and resources to fund wars of empire, the weapons and tactics of colonization are brought home in a desperate attempt to quell the rabble and hold onto power. Now with AI and surveillance and drones they could quite quickly throw a clampdown into place and we could hear drones buzzing overhead and armed robot dogs patrolling the streets.
I noticed some of the tactics you mention in the environmental demonstrations in the woods here in BC a few years ago. Separating indigenous people from white people and treating each group very differently.

That really scared the ruling class🤣 Add the pro Palestinian protests and the removal of a CEO from the playing field really made them freak out. Climate collapse will make food more scarce and expensive. Do not comply in advance! Don't trust cops! Broken limbs and huge bruises--wooden bullets aren't nice. I was at the march and there was no call for any of those tactics. It was peaceful. And the city using its IDF taught techniques has had to dole out millions to cover the lawsuits. That's what getting involved with the IDF will get you!

I prefer -- and history has shown the power and effectiveness -- of the kind of mass organizing and protest Chris Hedges often talks about: “We can’t do anything alone. We have to build mass movements that aren’t bought off and corrupted by the liberal elite or the Democratic Party. …We can’t get fooled by these people anymore. We have to regain a kind of militancy, and that comes through understanding the systems of power. We have to break the system, because if we don’t break the system it will break us.”
