"It’s impossible to vanish online, but seek to leave as few crumbs as possible; crumbs instead of loaves of private data. "
It is hard to vanish online--but I think it's doable. Don't shop at Amazon. (Boycott Amazon!) It's amazing how many people who shop constantly online seem to have "identity thefts". I've never had any (fingers crossed), but then I've never shopped much online. I keep my numbers to myself.
So, put the phones away and stop buying sh*t you don't need and start reading more about what you can do to help start the Revolution!
If you were taking your own advice, would you be running a Substack? Serious question. Isn't online activity also the best way to oppose this oncoming train?
Oh, we're all pretty much F'ed on that score and I have absolutely NO illusions that doing a regular Substack can -- and may well -- put me at risk. It's a risk I accept because to be silent is not acceptable, but it may well cost me. All one can do is reduce one's online presence. As I noted: "It’s impossible to vanish online, but seek to leave as few crumbs as possible; crumbs instead of loaves of private data."
As Assange and Snowden proved, virtually everything we write, sign on to, phone call made, text message received and replied to is recorded and stored. There is no privacy. The 4th and 5th amendments are essentially dead and done. On that score we are in an Orwellian totalitarian state. All I'm saying is give them as little information as possible. It may be a small and perhaps useless act of resistance but resistance in fascism is necessary and the honorable thing to do.
You can only do so much online in the end the change that everyone desires won't be realized from behind a pc screen but by talking to people and finding common ground.
Absolutely and it is something I have had no luck finding. The illusion of organizing through Zoom calls is as moronic as it is unsuccessful. If there had been Zoom at the time of the American revolution we'd still be ruled by England.
I do talk to people locally. But as soon as you meet anyone, they want to send texts and emails, and make phone calls. It would seem deeply odd to avoid all that. But I am honestly wondering if the time has come, or is coming soon, that I would recommend that.
For me, it's probably way too late. I've never been anywhere near famous online, but I have a very long trace.
Addicted to mobile, many people appear no longer able to have a serious conversation anymore due to having become dependent on their mobile devices which is used as a source to read from.
Whatever happened to good manners and being respectful to the person one is talking to as opposed to needing to interrupt a conversation in order to consult a mobile.
Add on to the change that everyone desires won't be realized from behind a pc screen but by talking to people and finding common ground - the change will come from the sheer number of people out on the streets.
If Colonel Wilkerson IS imprisoned, I will personally bust him out.
The peasants are coming with our torches, pitchforks and AK47s. Did the Ruling Class forget that there are more guns in Amerikkka than men, women and children?
They already raided his home and stole items not on their warrant. The fact he hasn't said much about it since tells me they are charging him with some big stuff and his lawyers are telling him not to complicate things.

I will be leaving Whatspp but can't retrieve my messages because it requires an update that's impossible because I left Google.
"Whenever possible, step offline, NOW."

Like the message in this article - self censorship through fear -turn the masses into meek and obedient submissives.
If you want to know who really rules over you then you must find out who you're not allowed to criticize.
That will soon become abundantly clear. Beginning with Elon the moron.
Taking public private partnerships to a whole new level, PPP needs to be exposed for what it really is, Fascism.

And we cannot afford the illusion that substack is all the freedom it appears to be, starting with the monopoly of Stripe.
Hi Mark
If Colonel Wilkerson IS imprisoned, I will personally bust him out.
The peasants are coming with our torches, pitchforks and AK47s. Did the Ruling Class forget that there are more guns in Amerikkka than men, women and children?
They cannot stop the coming Revolution.
It was pretty sobering hearing him say that.
No shit, Mark. I guess Scott Ritter would be next.

And he hasn’t received his passport back either.
Thieves.
