It says a lot when you see how UHC had to tell its employees to repeat the party line that they admired the CEO even though they all hated him!

I hope someone sets up a GoFundMe for Luigi's legal expenses. Why no bail? They afraid we'll spirit him out of the country to where he couldn't be extradited?

The difference between vultures and the flock of executives at United Healthcare is that vultures wait until your dead before picking your bones.

I watched the news in Canada and heard the Mayor say "killing someone in cold blood is not what Americans do" or words to that effect. The rest of the world knows that it is precisely what Americans do.

By all means, grab a gun and air your grievances (ideally not on a bunch of school children) but please stop with the thoughts and prayers and at the very least, admit you have a problem with guns.

Guns are just the means. The problem -- where we casually kill millions -- is much larger.

May l ask a question please? If l am walking down a US street, minding my own business and a gun fight breaks out nearby and l catch a stray bullet ... assuming l don't have insurance and an ambulance gets me to a hospital and the ER doctor saves my life, who pays for my treatment and covers my salary if l'm unable to return to work for a month or two? What about physio-therapy, pain medication or MH care to help with possible trauma?

That's on you. Now if the shooter is caught and has money or there has been negligence by someone else, perhaps you can do some kind if civil suit, but that will take years and many thousands of dollars in legal fees. Life in America.

Unfortunately, you do. The hospital may take you in and patch you up.

And if you don't pay, the collection agency will sue you until they get their money.

You best bet is to duck and run.

Sorry 😞

Thanks folks, l suspected that was the case. I know Canadians visiting the US are encouraged to take out comprehensive insurance policies, adding substantially to the cost of a vacation.

We hear so much about Americans facing bankruptcy as a result of "medical debt" or US citizens crossing inro Canada to purchase prescription drugs such as insulin to save money. These are usually drugs that are developed and manufactured within the US by "Big Pharma" so, you'll have to forgive my confusion.

I am now a senior and besides having enjoyed free basic healthcare throughout my life, l can now benefit from $4.10 prescriptions and government subsidized dental costs. I accept that we pay higher taxes but, it is worth it.

Interesting footnote on insulin. The scientists who discovered insulin made it available patent-free to help as many people as possible.

As for additional insurance for traveling to the US, with some policies in the US it is advisable to buy extra travel insurance because you will probably be "out of service". We live in a brutal country. Brutal to other nations and to our own people.

Another interesting fact about insulin is that Frederick Banting was a Canadian surgeon working at the University of Toronto.

Scottish bacteriologist Alexander Fleming discovered Penicillan while working at St. Marys Hospital, London, England.

Vigilantism is EXACTLY what's needed. Self defense is not violence. Read that again. The ruling class is fucking killing us LITERALLY for fun and PROFIT. Times for heads to roll.

The easiest way for a person on a pension is to just not go to a doctor.

When All Well wants me to doctor, I say :

" if he finds anything wrong, I can't afford to fix it"

Same with a dentist.

Why let them make money at my expense?

Drones above DC are Anglo-Saxons -- preparations for attack on Iran.

FYI -- It was a false flag attack to pull US into a world war but -- the ship for some reason, despite all efforts (including 5 torpedoes) failed to sink - it floated for 17 hours so rescue ships had to finally come..
