In our mockery of democracy we are told by both halves of the corporate GOP/Dem uniparty-state to fear the other. As Biden demonstrates with every new shipment of 2,000-lb bombs and illegal white phosphorus weapons to Israel, there is no meaningful difference between the two halves of the corporate political turd pie. Both will happily maim and slaughter children for corporate convenience and profit at the behest of their owners in Tel Aviv and the Zionist lobby.

As the stories of the recent massacre of innocents in the Israeli bombing of an UNWRA school and this weekend’s massacre of 275 dead and some 675 wounded civilians in a military attack on a civilian area to retrieve four Israeli hostages show, life is cheap and profits are high. Between the school attack and Saturday’s hostage operation at least 78 children and 66 women were killed. Given the grievous wounding of hundreds of others, that number surely will increase and only God knows how many others suffered crippling, lifelong physical injury and psychological trauma.

The uncounted dead

Recent official estimates on the number of dead from the US/Israeli genocide is around 37,000, but — as the media rarely mentions — that does not include the many tens of thousands vaporized or buried beneath the rubble of Israel’s targeted bombing of housing complexes, hospitals, schools, refugee and aid centers, public markets and hundreds of thousands sheltering in refugee tent camps. The UN reports that in urban warfare 89% of casualties are civilians. As the world’s largest concentration camp, the vast majority of combat in Gaza has been urban. Given the US/Israeli deliberate targeting of civilians by snipers to bombers, surely that figure is much higher.

Add to that, destruction of critical water and sanitation facilities with the spread of infectious disease and blockade of critical food and medical supplies leading to starvation and the secondary death rates steadily climb. Children are especially vulnerable. Fully half of Gaza’s population is under the age of 15.

Martin Griffiths, the United Nations lead humanitarian officer, said “Life is draining out of Gaza at terrifying speed.”

In a March 5 essay, Ralph Nader estimated, “…a more likely estimate, in my appraisal, is that at least 200,000 Palestinians must have perished by now and the toll is accelerating by the hour.”

That was three months ago.

And in the West Bank, Israeli settler goons have murdered at least 505.

US/Israeli war crimes have been as relentless as they are fully intentional and ongoing, to the giddy delight of racist Israeli fascists and goonish American weapons manufacturers and private paramilitary groups.

American politics are dead and done.

The corporate uniparty is ever more united in support of the Gaza genocide. As public disgust and opposition to the war crimes mount, the Biden-led bipartisan Congressional support for the ongoing US/Israeli obscenity remains unmoved. Money buys many things but obedience tops the list. Public opinion means nothing in our corporate Zionazi fascist government. As with all political talk now, Biden’s cynical promise of “red lines” is nothing but performative blather. The slaughter will continue as long as the fascist government in Tel Aviv demands.

The mindless media gruel about Biden/Trump election polling is completely irrelevant to reality. American politics are dead. Dead and done. A revolution has occurred. A corporate coup. Under this corporate government, people are nothing more than resources to be exploited or — as in the case of the Palestinians — expenses to be eliminated. We are in a corporate uniparty fascist state now where the orders, whims and needs of fascist donors for a foreign state rules America. Forget the politics. Think resistance.

Organize or be organized for abuse and the benefit of the super wealthy.

Resist or succumb.

In an echo of an earlier time of national crisis: Live free or die.
