This wasn’t your goodest post but close. A most necessary admonition as words are everything. The more I read about Hitler and Trump … and the way audiences or readers critically consider the words … or in most cases not … we need a press that is factual and honest …… but we also need a REAL press that is tracking the news from around the world and not just feeding us bullshit stories. I swear Americans know more about Taylor Swift and Yellowstone than they do about the truth of the Ukraine War and what is REALLy happening in Gaza

The corporate media is the PR agency for Wall Street and the wealthy, As Noam Chomsky's book title on the media summed up, the job of corporate media is to "Manufacture Consent" and to do so in such a way people don't even realize they have been manipulated -- literally manufactured.

I must be missing out on a lot. I have no idea who Taylor Swift is or what Yellowstone is about. I read leftist news sites and watch indie podcasts and listen to community radio music programming without commercials. I'm strange, I know!

The cult of senilemongerist Vegetocratic Fascism is absolutely going strong... in out-Trumptarding the collective stupidity of mangomongerist Orange Bolshevism. By the way, Mark, do you entirely draw/design these editorial cartoons yourself? The qualitative art creativity is simply fantastic.

Yeah, who thought Trump could be outdone in such a way.

Yep, the cartoons are all done by me. Back years ago I was the political cartoonist at the now -- sadly -- extinct Albuquerque Tribune. While there I did freelance work for a few publications, including Ralph Nader's group. My work on Reagan's drug wars in Central American got me in trouble and booted from the editorial page, though I continued doing illustration work at the paper for awhile.

If you are interested you can get more of the story and see one of the cartoons that got me in trouble here: https://demockracy.ink/the-power-of-the-political-cartoon/

Thanks for the supportive comments and feel free to use any of the work from the SubStack column or web page.

Ah yes, Reagan Administration shenanigans -- I am 100% certain that it was a puppet-front of the Anglo-Masonic/Jesuit cabal since a) Reagan is listed as a 32nd/33rd-degree Freemason (from what I recall reading), b) he successfully skyrocketed the corporatist-totalitarian "Conservative Revolution" initiated by (33rd-degree Mason) Barry Goldwater, in turn a political acolyte of the Nazi-collaborationist, fascistic Eisenhower Administration (which created the Masonic "Judeo-Christian" Zionist alliance propped up by Masonic propagandist and later-ecumenism shill Billy Graham), bringing me to c) Reagan's figurehead role in the "Religious Right" that cemented the end of Protestant theological opposition to Catholicism, replaced by Vatican- and Masonic-backed ecumenical compromise, and also d) his connections to the right-wing, terrorist-financing P2 Lodge operated by Fascist, Vatican stooge, and Mason Licio Gelli, a Mussolini brownshirt in his early WWII Axis military career.

No problem at all, Mark -- I must say, your drawing skills are awesome; I sometimes wish I could confidently "return" to drawing (I quit lessons back in 6th-7th grade for unfortunately circumstantial reasons of academic stress) and design brutal exposes of i.e. Zionazism...

Holy cow... "Goodest"? My oldest girl could speak better English as a toddler than dementia patient Biden can on camera! But I applaud WURD radio for firing/letting go the interviewer who had been set up before the debate to ask Biden only certain questions. He probably bodged all of them, but the integrity of the press is the point here. ABC News is the epitome of a propaganda machine for the establishment with its "editing" of their transcripts. Face it--there's no way to make Biden sound/look any more competent than he really is at this moment in time. He's suffering from a neurological illness/dementia. It's just that obvious to 99% of the public. Jeopardizing your journalistic integrity isn't worth it to serve the oligarchy, in other words. Excellent post and cartoon, Mark!

Thanks! As a one-time journalist I know there has never been a perfect media, but the collapse of even a pretense of integrity and courage by the now dominant/partisan corporate model is shameful. Thank God we have independent media and platforms like Substack. We need to fight to hold on to them.

I just put out a post this morning with a very similar vibe.
