Too bad there was not a viable alternative. IMO, etc. The Dems have been shipping $billions and $billions out of the country, and who would trust someone who paid Beyonce $10 million just to give a three minute "speech" to make any sort of financial decisions at all? .FEMA deliberate mismanagement, millions of immigrants just flooding in - the hubris of expecting others to think the Dems know how to run the country is astounding. Wars. I used to be a Dem, now I am independent/unaffiliated.

Me too. I was once co-chair of my county Democratic Party and did lots of volunteer work and donated far more than I ever should have. Should have saved the money to send to the Democrats' victims in Gaza.

Mexico’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum, pulled no punches. She won’t be bullied by the orange freak. Meanwhile, the spineless Trudeau called the freak pleading to be nice to Canada.

Farmers and agribusinesses , who supported him en masse, will whine and throw temper tantrums until he rids all illegal farm workers...

The usurious Blackrock and banks are eagerly awaiting an increase in their portfolio of empty housing units…

The art of the deal…

Well said. In my area all the dairy farmers are completely dependent upon migrant labor. If they start rounding up migrant workers here the farms will have to close.

Exactly, California’s produce industry is completely dependent on them. I remember when Alabama implemented a zero tolerance policy, the migrants left, leaving the poultry industry unable to hire locals. The state quickly rescinded the policy.

Although, I gave up on democrats, looking at his Cabinet picks it’s a train wreck waiting to happen.

"Mexico could retaliate with tariffs of its own, after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump threatened to impose 25% import duties on Mexican goods if the country doesn’t stop the flow of drugs and migrants across the border."

Thus capitalism shows its true ugly nature and royally f*cks everything up. The Revolution might start sooner than we think!

Tariffs only work when a country has its own base for making the goods or services that are being imported, and the goal is to build that base up. But the base has to be a thing first, like it was under George Washington.

We've exported all of our manufacturing, except for weapons, to the countries Trump wants to slap with tariffs. If he does, ALL that will do is to hurt ordinary Americans very, very badly, as Trump might say.

The good news is that there are treaties and the Constitution and stuff, so it's possible this won't happen.

I really don't know the details, but he's talking about doing some kind of Executive Order on his first day in office. Maybe the Senate Parlimentarian will rescue us. Biden was terrified of the guy.

I think the Senate Parlimentarian is female. She's gotta be about 12 feet tall and weigh half a ton and have claws and fangs or something.

“If a percentage of what the United States spends on war were dedicated to peace and development, that would address the underlying causes of migration,”

I’ve never heard a Mexican president, or from any other country speak so clear

Absolutely. Immigration at the border is "A" problem, but "THE" problem is all the violence, chaos, coups and corporate exploitation of Latin America by the US government and Wall Street is the cause of all the migration. problems.

I agree with being prepared. Maybe time to encourage the Victory Gardens like during WW2: "According to archived USDA fact sheets, there were more than 20 million victory gardens in 1943, which produced 10 billion pounds of food. In 1944, gardens provided around 40 percent of the U.S. vegetable supply."

Absolutely! I have a small greenhouse and garden space and produce enough for myself and several deliveries of vegetables to a local food pantry.

So that when the digital currency comes, we'll have no choice but to take it.

Biden took his term to rape the American wallet.

Now it's Trump's turn.

We'll be lucky to have the clothes on our back.
