Mark:

Why aren’t we protesting one of the main perpetrators of our current shitshow?

I refer to the Supreme Court and the insane Citizens United decision.

The SCOTUS should be abolished at any rate. Why in hell do NINE motherfucking individuals get to decide what millions upon millions can or cannot do?

Well,. the Supreme Court has been corrupted for decades. Most Americans think the Supreme Court is a fancy shopping mall across the street from Mar-a-Lago and who would want to protest a cool shopping mall.

Now, if the Supreme Court were independent and Clarence Thomas had to pay for his own vacations, it would be playing the essential role as the third branch of government to balance the Executive and Legislative branches. But that's not the world we are in and all three branches are twisted, thorny and dead.

If you consider the multi-tech-multi-billionaires at Trump's coronation today it is clear the government is over and we're going high-tech billionaire AI Country Club.

I’ll tell you a little secret, Mark.

I became pregnant at age 16, due to lack of knowledge of birth control. My boyfriend was devoted to me and wanted to get married. ( He was a mere 17.) Which would have facilitated both of us dropping out of high school and subsisting on his income working at a gas station.

I however could see the writing on the wall. My parents did not want me to get married either, so I decided on abortion.

It wasn’t legal in Michigan yet, so I flew to New York to get one.

I have no regrets whatsoever. I was incredibly fortunate to have this option, unlike so many other women and girls today. SCOTUS forces 14-year-old girls to give birth.

What the fuck ever happened to separation of church and state? This godforsaken country is run by religious freaks, both Zio and Christian !

The hypocrisy and cruelty of the right and extremist Christians on this issue is just horrendous. Saw a story recently of a pregnant 11 year-old and whether or not she would be able to get the care she needs and deserves. If they truly cared for all life and got behind decent funding for schools, childcare, food programs and spoke out against the US?Israel murder of children in Gaza they might be able to say they cared about "life", but they won't because they don't.

A pregnant 11-year-old. My gods. I have to believe that she was the victim of rape and/or incest.

Here’s the thing, Mark. If any of these so-called “Christians” who make the rules had a young daughter who had an unwanted pregnancy, she’d be whisked off to an abortion clinic faster than you can say Jack Robinson. And they’d tell themselves that their case was somehow the exception.

Details weren't provided in the story, but yes, it had to be rape or incest and my guess is incest. And yes, absolutely correct, if these hypocrites had a daughter or wife in the same situation they'd make sure they got an abortion.

I can't remember who it was, but within the last year there was some Republican right wing loudmouth state legislator who was revealed to have pressured two of his extramarital affair girlfriends to get abortions. One of them had two abortions, I believe.

Well said. I'm going to be biting my tongue hard so as not to say "Told you so!" to so many Americans over the next few years. Maybe the transparent oligarchy of Trumpdom will wake up the rest of the populace to the idea of wealth disparity and class war? Then it'll be time for REVOLUTION!

No, don't say "I told you so", instead, "Sounds like you and I have had similar disappointments. Wonder if we can now work together." We need to find what we can agree on and even if that is initially a slender platform, we have to build from that together, otherwise we and our children are doomed. I really don't care too much about what I may disagree with someone about, I'm curious about what we are in agreement on.
