The past 15 bloody months of the US/Israel Gaza genocide has exposed the arrogant hypocrisy of the creaky Western Empire’s self-benediction of superiority.
I watched the Chris Hedges interview with the MIT students this morning. It was wonderful to see these two young men speak about how what they have to lose is nothing compared to what the Palestinians lose daily. It was truly heartwarming.
YES! They are such good, generous and brave young men. THEY should be running MIT instead of the craven sell-outs who do. When I went to the anti-genocide protests I was so impressed by the young organizers. I want to support them all in whatever way I can.
The young man featured on Owen Jones podcast is a regular contributor to the weekly "Electronic Intafada" live podcast which is now tx'd on Thursdays 11am Central. That's around 6pm (his time) so he is often in darkness with the only available light coming from the screen of his laptop.
Ali Abunimah also posts informative articles on the EI website. It's truly remarkable that he is able to report facts from the heart of Gaza when they have intermittent electricity and wi-fi. He always seems upbeat despite drones flying overhead and F35's dropping bombs all around.
May Allah protect him and his family long after this horror is finally over.
After listening to Chris Hedges, everytime l watch re-runs of The Big Bang Theory fearuring "Howard Wolowitz" - a Jew and a graduate of MIT - it won't seem so funny.
I was struck by the young man’s speech (featured on Owen’s program) reflecting on the fact that Palestinians don’t have “blond hair and blue eyes”.
I have tan skin and green eyes and am a natural blond. This may sound trivial, but today I had my hair dyed a deep rich brown in solidarity with the Palestinian people. I can’t do much about my eye color.
Next is a tattoo of the Palestinian flag on the back of my neck.
Absolutely, and with their partnerships with the Mafia and international drug cartels and drug running, US overdose deaths and addiction rates will continue to climb. It's all so dirty and corrupt.
