Waking To 'Nother Day In The Murderous 'Merican Empire
The whole society is asleep as the world is forced to live daily in our manufactured nightmare.

When I awaken each morning I have a few minutes where my mind is just open and awakening. An empty interior landscape free of thoughts, memories or emotions; just awakening presence. Then I remember.
I remember our genocide ... and the growing war ... I think of the dead and the criminals running our evil, depraved, grotesque system.
I wonder what the news is this morning. How many died from Israel dropping American-made bombs on families who can’t escape or defend themselves? What new Israeli state perversion has been revealed or brutal war crime grounded in cowardice and entitlement has occurred? What callous idiocy has been uttered overnight by our ruling gangsters as I safely slept?
The awake nightmare of the Israeli dominated and controlled American war state bulldozes its way into my consciousness and ‘nother day in the murderous ‘Merican empire begins.
Do your mornings begin like that?
He left home a new father
Today’s Israeli atrocity came in a TikTok forwarded by a friend of Mohammad Abu Al Qumsan a young Palestinian man who had returned home with birth certificates in hand from registering the birth of his four-day old twins to find his mother-in-law’s home bombed and the twins, his wife and the grandmother all dead. He left home a husband, son-in-law and new father and returned home to … nothing; they were all ripped to shreds. By us. In an instant he had been brutally stripped of everything by the United States and Israel, the world’s predominant terror states. The ones I fund with my tax dollars.
So far, the United States and Israel have murdered over 2,500 Palestinian babies under the age of 2 since the genocide began.
I feel my disgust and anger rise, once more.
I’m going to make a prediction: Other than two or three who share my feelings about our genocide, absolutely no one I interact with today will make any mention of our ongoing murders in the Middle East.
Caitlin Johnstone wrote today of Mohammad Abu Al Qumsan and our collective dead heart:
“It often feels like an obnoxious sacrilege that our civilization hasn’t stopped dead in its tracks while this happens day after day, month after month, with the full-throated support of our own western governments. How we’re still going to movies and dinners and laughing and joking while those bloodcurdling screams are erupting from Gaza. It feels like waltzing outside the extermination camp and trying to ignore the smell of the black smoke coming from the chimneys.
“We look like lunatics. We are acting as crazy as someone whistling and dancing in the middle of a roaring house fire. Surely it would be a hell of a lot saner to be screaming all the time than to be going along our merry little way like this horror isn’t happening.”
As she notes, that would be seen as socially inappropriate.
Impolite.
Rude.
As Johnstone observes, “Here, in this dystopian civilization, it’s considered rude to even bring it up.”
Indeed. The whole society is asleep as the world is forced to live daily in our manufactured nightmare.
5-minute video
I just want to share some positive news related at least in part to the resistance movement and that is the effect of the Boycott/Divest/Sanction (BDS) movement against Israel. It is playing a major role in tanking the Israeli economy with corporations pulling their investments out of the country and even Israelis divesting from their economy to try to shield some portion of their personal wealth.
You can learn more of how BDS is playing a role in this good 10-minute overview video on the crumbling Israeli economy:

I know all this is hard, but whatever we are experiencing isn't even a shadow of what the Palestinian people are experiencing in Gaza and the West Bank. We need to speak for those who can't speak or are killed. Pus. Resist. Expose the cruelty and venality of the Israeli/US cabal.
Be ready to rally Americans when Congress rips away what few benefits Americans have to prop up the collapsing Israeli economy.
Spot-on, Mark: it's indeed absolutely morally atrocious the extent to which average spoiled Westerners think it's worse to bring up the right-wing Judeonazi Holocaust against the Palestinian people than the very fact that our taxpayer dollars are being poured into the Zionazi death machine.
A while ago, a "friend" of mine IRL (not that he was ever a sincere friend anyways) said that he's trying to "stop reading the news because it's full of negative stuff." IOWs, he was too comfortable with his plentifully spoiled and luxurious life to be even slightly mentally disturbed by what our country is funding in the Middle East. Too many people in typical American day-to-day life are like this, I'm sorry to say.
