Given what has occurred with the barbarous U.S./Israeli genocide in Gaza, it is an indicator of the censorship state we are in that until recently there has been no coverage of the stunning documentary “Israelism”. No interviews, no clips in news stories, no reviews, nothing.
The censorship state is rapidly expanding and our First Amendment rights are as endangered as an alpine glacier. In keeping with the new censorship state, several university Jewish student group showings of the film have been targeted and shut down by college administrators — which is about the strongest recommendation one can have to watch the film.
In a press January 3 press release, the film producers noted: “Israelism was also just featured in the Washington Post and the top Italian newspaper Il Manifesto, and we’ll be announcing more press and updates shortly.”
Explains US bloody role in Gaza genocide
I found the film absolutely stunning, providing greater historical and cultural context and understanding of the role Zionism plays in both Israel and American foreign policy, military aid and the rapidly growing censorship state we now confront. It also explains how the White House under both parties, congress, State Department and War Department are nothing more than franchises for the Israeli government.

The film producers have also announced: “We are honored that our film is being used as a resource in these devastating times, and because of the moment we are in, we’ve decided to make Israelism available to watch online for the foreseeable future. Please tell your friends, family, and community.”
Please restack and get the word out. I’d be interested in sharing your reactions to the film.

Israel / US Connections Are Deeper, More Complex & Disturbing Than You Think
Majority Report (12/28/23)
Peter Beinart of Jewish Currents joins Sam and Emma to discuss the recent events in Israel and Palestinian territories. Officials in Benjamin Netanyahu’s government often express a desire to weaken Israel’s Supreme Court, citing limitations on their ability to punish Palestinians. Palestinian perspectives, however, interpret these policies as part of a larger strategy involving mass expulsion.
In March, anti-occupation activist Fadi Quran expressed concerns about another Nakba, referring to the expulsion of Palestinians at Israel’s birth. A poll showed that 65% of Palestinians viewed Israel’s “long run aspiration” as extending its borders and expelling Arab citizens. While such a prospect may seem unthinkable in mainstream American discourse, Palestinian fears of expulsion are rooted in history and are not unfounded. The current government's radicalism, combined with escalating violence, raises concerns about a potential surge in Palestinian expulsion, prompting the question of what actions American officials would take to prevent it.
FYI: It is also available on the BitTorrent network. But for those that can afford it, I would recommend supporting the creators of this documentary.
