Rare Event: Here's What A Real Journalist Looks & Sounds Like
When you see the daily corporate media mirage it's easy to have no idea what a real journalist should be doing
The vast majority of what passes for journalism in the United States is little more than corporate and government PR. There are the occasional rare exceptions, but the daily norm is slavish burping up of the official narrative, like the one pushed out in this video by State Department talking drone Vedant Patel. What is unusual here is that Patel has to deal with a real journalist, Max Blumenthal, of The Grayzone.
Max pushes, challenges and provides counter facts and sharp questions that bruise and bust Patel’s empty, blank-faced, gaseous mouthing of State Department lies about US policy toward and financial and weapons support of the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
While it’s only a four-minute clip, it’s a huge lesson of what journalists could and should be doing, especially when the United States is fully participating in war crimes.
