The news this morning is filled with reports of police crackdowns and arrests across the country of college protesters opposing the US/Israeli genocide in Palestine and university financial entanglements with Israeli corporations and the war industry.
To understand why this is happening now, you need to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Wednesday direction to the United States government and law enforcement giving the order to crackdown on protest. Seriously, Netanyahu has said enough is enough, shut down the protests. If you haven’t seen the order you can see it in the April 24 broadcast of Judging Freedom with Andrew Napolitano and Jewish-Canadian journalist Aaron Mate. The two-minute Netanyahu clip begins at the 6:16-mark of the interview:
After a perverse up-is-down, black-is-white Alice In Wonderland topsy-turvy rewrite of history, truth and current events and suppression of free speech in America, Netanyahu is blunt in his order to American government and law enforcement: “But there has to be more. More has to be done.”
And we’re seeing it. From Columbia University to University of Texas Austin and University of Southern California, thuggish waves of armed riot police have moved onto college campuses to beat, arrest and haul away peaceful protesters — many of which are Jewish students and faculty — and rip up encampments on university public spaces.
Faculty and members of the press have been arrested. US and Israeli attacks on the media and the free press are not limited to Gaza.
(I always find it amazing at how enthusiastically police will gleefully attack fellow Americans peacefully exercising their rights. As is too often the case in such situations, they arrest the good guys and let the true criminals boss ‘em around.)
Doing errands for the boss
House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) stepped up to play his role in the Zionist lobby script, visiting Columbia University to tell peaceful student protesters to “stop the nonsense”.
“And it’s detestable, as Columbia has allowed these lawless agitators and radicals to take over,” he said. “If this is not contained quickly and if these threats and intimidation are not stopped, there is an appropriate time for the national guard.”
He was promptly and correctly booed by protesters. No matter to Johnson, he had done his errand for the boss.
On the other side of the Congressional aisle we have Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA), of Washington state, smearing protesters with accusations of promoting “leftwing fascism” or “leftwing totalitarianism”. Obtuse to irony, Smith was the one promoting fascism by calling for the shutting down of free speech on college campuses, which should be the stage for free and open debate.
By coincidence I am sure, in the past year Rep. Smith has banked $65,950 from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) political action committee. His total grab from Israel-related groups for this election cycle is $199,272 — the top donor to his campaign. Second and third place were war contractors.
By mere coincidence I am sure, Smith is the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Service Committee. He’s been making this bank since 1996, when he was first selected — um, elected.
As for Speaker Johnson, his total cash-grab from Israel-related groups and individuals in this election cycle is $318,186.
As we have seen with the White House and most of Congress and both parties, when Bibi barks they are all tail-wagging puppy dogs going tummy up awaiting orders. If you still believe the United States government is controlled by Americans, open your eyes, Bibi just made it clear the US is a wholly-owned Israeli operation.

If there is an upside to this disgraceful perversion of law enforcement, it is that such brutality and suppression exposes the true nature of the US government and always grows resistance. Ironically, then as now, it was the bloody crackdown of anti-Vietnam War protests at Columbia University in 1968 that ignited greater protest against the war across the nation, which eventually led to the US slinking out of Vietnam.
In the meantime, get ready, if you disagree with the war narrative they will be coming for us.
Quashing University Protests & Banning TikTok To Make The Kids Love Israel

It’s just a tough situation, with victims on both sides. On one side you’ve got people being slaughtered in droves by genocidal massacres and siege warfare, while on the other you’ve got people whose feelings get hurt when these atrocities are opposed. Hard to say which is worse.
I have dedicated every day of my life to the project of spreading awareness of the depravity and deceitfulness of the western empire, but I will never write anything more effective toward this end than what the empire is doing itself on university campuses right now.
I mean, you kind of have to wonder what they’re thinking. “Yeah, that’s it. Violently quash pro-Palestine protests at universities, ban TikTok to ensure the suppression of pro-Palestine content, and saturate the boomer media with obvious propaganda. That’ll make the kids love Israel.”…

Over 100 Students Arrested In California, Texas As Gaza Protests Intensify
11-minute video
Very, very timeless reporting.
Thanks for posting the Judge Napolitano video with Bibi's remarks. I hadn't seen it yet and it just makes things fall into place for me. It's not Biden who's "in charge" of this mess--it's Netanyahu. He's the one that pulls the puppet strings and makes Genocide Joe jump whenever Bibi needs him to jump. Sick and disgusting.
Another short video I saw today on X: They were arresting a faculty member at the protest at Emory University. An off-camera student says, "Who should we tell for you?" And the professor says "The Philosophy Department. I'm the chair." We're arresting the people who deal in ethics... If that doesn't tell you what's wrong with Western civilization, what does? Sigh!
