FINALLY! A Politician Honest About His Crass Dishonesty
The seamy truth comes out the only way possible in DC ... by accident

"I refuse to put people over politics.”
— Mike Johnson, Republican Speaker of the House
Hey, at least new House Speaker Mike Johnson is being honest and speaking out candidly for the whole corrupt political system, even if his flash of political honesty was a typo in — you guessed it — a fundraising appeal. (You can’t make this stuff up!) As so often happens with politicians of both parties, when they speak truth, it is a mistake.
During the highly entertaining House republican locker room squabble over who would embody and lead the circus show, I wanted George Santos as Speaker of the House. Clearly “Boy George” Santos would best embody and personify the bipartisan corporate corruption and collapse of the House and entire American political system. I was relieved when House democrats recently voted to keep George from getting booted out of congress. We need George as a real life tacky icon of the political corruption and collapse earning congress its stellar 7% public approval rating.
But what the heck, Speaker Johnson is as perfect an alternative leader of such a bumbling gang.
I let my congressman Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) know of my approval of his new House wrangler.
As in so many aspects of life, truth is often best embodied in lies and — once again — nowhere is that more true than the United States House of (mis)Representatives.
