Editor’s Note: A reader astutely noted that Oct. 7th attack is highly suspicious as the Israeli Defense Force had withdrawn many soldiers from the area and even confiscated some weapons from settlers despite having been warned by the U.S. and Egypt multiple times that there could be an attack. Despite those warnings, the Israelis permitted a music festival to take place near the Gaza boundary.
Despite being a small country, it took the heavily-armed Israeli military up to 7 hours to respond and when they did so, they rocketed and shelled homes and vehicles fleeing the area, causing the deaths of up to a third of the victims killed that day.
And, I would note, the United States has been fully involved in providing the money, weapons and diplomatic cover for the current and grotesque history of Israeli genocide against the Muslim and Christian Palestinians.
Ultimately, since we provide the money, means and cover, WE are responsible.

US/Israeli ‘Flour Massacre’ Trap: How Gaza Food Killings Unfolded & Israel’s Story Changed
Over 100 dead and 750-plus wounded
By Al Jazeera Staff
Al Jazeera (2/1/24)
At least 112 Palestinians have been killed and more than 750 wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on hundreds waiting for food aid southwest of Gaza City.
Here is what we know:
What happened and when?
The incident unfolded at about 04:30 local time (02:30 GMT) on Thursday, when people congregated at Harun al-Rashid Street in Gaza, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way.
A convoy of aid trucks passed through the checkpoint, heading north, as people started gathering in large groups. According to the Israeli military, a convoy of 31 trucks entered Gaza but nearly 20 entered the north on Monday and Tuesday.
“We were going to bring flour … then Israeli snipers shot at us.”
As people gathered in large groups waiting for much-needed aid, they were shot at by all kinds of military equipment, Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reported from Rafah. According to a report by the Associated Press, people pulled boxes of flour and canned goods off the trucks.
After the first round of shooting stopped, people returned to the trucks, only for the soldiers to open fire once more.
“After opening fire, Israeli tanks advanced and ran over many of the dead and injured bodies,” Al Jazeera’s Ismail al-Ghoul said, reporting from the scene. …
Maybe I overlooked it but I see no mention of the obvious reality that October 7 was a false flag. I think it’s worth noting
I really wish Substack would make an "righteously outraged" button to click. This is another one of those stories that really blows my stack.
It's like the bought-off media has amnesia and can't remember 75 years of occupation of Palestine. It's like they can't get it through their heads that shooting starving people in a crowd is going to cause massive loss of life and injuries, and that the shooters (the IDF) are the ones to paint in a bad light, not the starving civilians. I guess the bribes from AIPAC/MIC/Billionaires helps the mainstream media idiots/pundits sleep at night. SIGH.
