CARTOON: Hitler Is Giddy About His New Buddies!!!!
In one of the cruelest ironies of history, the nation founded as a Jewish refuge from a repeat of history is now actively repeating the very same history.

“The biggest insult to the memory of the Holocaust is not denying it but using it to commit genocide against the Palestinian people.”

Saw a comment in a column the other day saying that if you ever wondered how you would have acted in Nazi Germany during the Holocaust all you have to do is look at how you are behaving today. An uncomfortable exercise for us all.
Make no mistake, what is happening now is pretty much as bad as what we saw with the German Nazis in WW II. No death camps and gas chambers — yet — but with the abject cruelty, barbarity, callous mass murder and the crude, brutal racism justifying it all, the difference between then and now is only one of scale, not intent.
Zionism is not Judaism. Being anti-Zionist is not the same as being antisemitic. Zionism — the foundational basis for the Israeli state — is every bit as fascist as Nazism and built upon the same racist tropes, lies, caricatures, perversions, assumptions and justifications for unspeakable criminal cruelty. From the beginning of the Israeli state, fascistic Zionism was opposed by many Jewish intellectuals, like Albert Einstein and Hannah Arendt, who coined the term “banality of evil” … an apt description of both Israeli and American leadership, most members of congress and their staff, and the State and War department bureaucratic mind blobs.
Some of the bravest, most outspoken critics of the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank have been American Jews, like Pulitzer-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, Gabor, Daniel and Aaron Mate, Katie Halper, Norman Finkelstein, Jews and rabbis across the nation who have courageously marched and protested and gathered together in such peace groups as Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow.
What we are seeing now in Israel, through it’s actions on the ground, and the U.S., with our financial, weapons, intel and diplomatic bullying on behalf of Israel, is Nazism.
In one of the cruelest ironies of history — in only 80 years — the nation founded as a Jewish refuge from a repeat of history is now actively repeating the very same history against another minority group. And where the United States assisted Russia in defeating Nazi Germany, it now actively supplies and defends a modern Nazi state that has bought off most of our ‘leaders’.
This is no ‘war’
And let us be clear, this is no “war”. Hamas doesn’t have jet fighters and bombers; fleets of U.S.-supplied tanks and armored personnel carriers or 2,000-pound American-made bombs to drop on defenseless Israeli neighborhoods. Hamas is not backed up by a world power. No, what is happening in Gaza is a slaughter, a genocide, an obscenity and the blood of every child murdered is on our hands.
As journalist Mehdi Hasan noted in a recent column, Biden could stop today’s holocaust of Gaza with a phone call, just as Ronald Reagan did during another Israeli genocidal slaughter in Lebanon, when he called then Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
“‘Menachem, this is a holocaust,” Reagan told Begin.
“Yes, an American leader used the H-word in conversation with an Israeli leader. Begin responded with sarcasm, telling the US president that “I think I know what a holocaust is.” Reagan, however, didn’t budge, insisting on the “imperative” for a ceasefire in Beirut.
“Twenty minutes. That’s all the time it took for Begin to call back and tell the president he had ordered Sharon to stop the bombing. It was over. “I didn’t know I had that kind of power,” a surprised Reagan told an aide, upon putting down the phone.”
But Biden won’t do that. Biden is a cowardly, disgusting war criminal. Hell, he won’t even stop his dog from biting Secret Service agents 34 times. He also happens to be the Number One recipient of American Israeli Public Affairs (AIPAC) money. No coincidence.
In a recent podcast commentary, Glenn Greenwald addressed the impunity the Israeli state dons from ever being accused of the same crimes Jews suffered under the Nazis now being carried out by Israel. It is, Greenwald notes, a kind of sick deceit of the highest order. A deceit the flaccid United States falls in line with.
Consider the evil
Think equating today’s Israel to German Nazis is too glib? Take a few minutes to watch this video of Israeli children singing an evil, stomach-churning song. Then consider the evil of the teachers and school that would indoctrinate children with such moral poison and a government that would promote it. And imagine the moral vacuum of the smiling, toe-tapping parents in the audience hearing their child celebrating evil. Podcaster Owen Jones lays out more of the fascist indoctrination ruling Israel and the threats they are making to all, even many of us Americans. And this evil genocidal madness rules the direction of our nation every bit as much as Israel.
Thuggish Zionists have — with millions pumped out in political action committee campaign bribes — thoroughly polluted the American political system, as demonstrated by Kentucky Republican Rep. Andy Ogles, who replied in a recent hallway exchange to concerns from an activist about the indiscriminate murders in Gaza saying:
“‘I’ve seen the footage of shredded children’s bodies,” the activist told Ogles. “That’s my taxpayer dollars that are going to bomb those kids.”
“Ogles responded bluntly: “You know what? So, I think we should kill ’em all if that makes you feel better.”
No matter that — per U.S. policy — in Gaza, where half the population is under the age of 18, some two-thirds of our known victims are women, children and infants. Such a brave duo we and the Israelis are and so ably represented by moral reprobates like Rep. Ogles. True fascist cowards.
In fealty to Israeli Zionist bribes, the U.S. government is not only more isolated from morality but also the majority of Americans who want a ceasefire. Our allies are moving away, with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva very properly comparing the U.S./Israeli genocide to the Nazi Holocaust.
But to clearly understand the Nazi mindblob that is Israel, consider the words of Israeli officials and citizens, not just since Oct. 7, 2023, but over the years and across the eight brutish decades since the Nakba (“catastrophe”) of 1948.
But before that, consider the words of an expert on Nazi propaganda:
“If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it yourself.”
— Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s Reich Minister of Propaganda

UN Experts Demand Investigation Into IDF Abuse Of Women & Girls In Gaza
"Those responsible for these apparent crimes must be held accountable and victims and their families are entitled to full redress and justice."

Common Dreams (2/19/24)
A group of United Nations experts on Monday demanded an immediate and thorough investigation into reports that Israeli forces have arbitrarily detained, sexually abused, and executed Palestinian women and girls in the Gaza Strip.
"We are shocked by reports of the deliberate targeting and extrajudicial killing of Palestinian women and children in places where they sought refuge, or while fleeing," said Reem Alsalem, special rapporteur on violence against women and girls; Francesca Albanese, special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories; and Dorothy Estrada Tanck, Claudia Flores, Ivana Krstić, Haina Lu, and Laura Nyirinkindi of the working group on discrimination against women and girls.
"Some of them were reportedly holding white pieces of cloth when they were killed by the Israeli army or affiliated forces," the U.N. experts continued. "We are particularly distressed by reports that Palestinian women and girls in detention have also been subjected to multiple forms of sexual assault, such as being stripped naked and searched by male Israeli army officers. At least two female Palestinian detainees were reportedly raped while others were reportedly threatened with rape and sexual violence."…
"What I Saw Wasn't War — It Was Annihilation," Says U.S. Doctor Who Volunteered in Gaza Hospital
Democracy Now! (2/20/24)
We speak with an American doctor just back from Gaza about the "unimaginable scale" of its humanitarian crisis. Irfan Galaria, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, recently wrote an op-ed for the L.A. Times describing Israel's assault on Gaza's civilians as "annihilation." Dr. Galaria, who has worked in conflict zones around the world, says he and his team witnessed "a collateral humanitarian crisis of an unimaginable scale," involving the "deliberate attempt" to both target civilians with military assault and to deprive them of aid.
