Brought to You By Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI): Who We Are & What We Have Become

The emotional grief and loss of these two children sum up everything about the US. Shame on us all, especially cynical congressional cowards, like my senator.

This short clip is from an Al Jazeera report from several days ago . It was shot in the aftermath of an Israeli Defense Force air attack on a residential area, as part of the escalating US/Israeli genocidal campaign against Gaza — using American weapons, money, diplomatic cover and intel. This young boy has just learned his father and brother were murdered in the US/Israeli attack and in the longer version asked repeatedly if his uncle was still alive.

It’s unclear who the young girl in the background is, but she is obviously experiencing some similar trauma. The stream of video out of Gaza these past weeks show the same kind of physical/mental trauma of the children we attacked with US weaponry. They all display the same uncontrollable trembling and shaking. Some — like this boy wail loudly — while others are mute. The eyes of all of them show the lifetime emotional and spiritual trauma we — yes, we, the United States — have branded them with.

Sen. Baldwin’s priority

With her lucrative campaign funding from the Zionist JStreetPAC, Sen. Baldwin’s day is never sullied with such imagery or vicarious trauma. She is focused instead. Focused on building her campaign money bag by sending more missiles and 2,000-pound bombs and increased funding to the genocidal Israeli Defense Force. In her role as one of 100 senators, Tammy Baldwin is no mere passive observer of the war crimes the United States government is carrying out in Gaza. She directly helps to fund it. She runs cover for the Zionist fascists in Israel. Like the rest of the government, she takes her orders from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ghoulish gang of Zionist mass murderers and misfits, not the desires of the almost 70% of Americans who want an immediate, permanent ceasefire.

While congress is almost universally supple and supine to the demands of Israel’s Zionist fascist ruling class, senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sander — joined by three others — recently sent a letter to the Biden administration calling for some modest accountability for the use of weapons sent off to Israel. You won’t be shocked to hear Wisconsin’s meekly ‘progressive’ (whatever the hell that means any more) senator’s name was not to be found on the letter.

Complicity with war crimes is a war crime. Given the position of power and public trust she has betrayed, Sen. Baldwin is a war criminal and as thus, lost any credibility to remain in the United States senate.

If you are a citizen of integrity and humanity, you cannot vote for Sen. Baldwin, or pretty much any sitting member of the congress or the White House who have and are actively continuing to facilitate the slaughter of innocent infants and children on Gaza. Forty percent of the known victims — many more were vaporized or remain crushed and buried beneath the rubble — are children and infants. To vote for such war criminals, is to share complicity in our war crimes.

I would say, “Shame, Senator Baldwin.”

But, clearly — as a member of the United States senate and ‘our’ government — that is an emotion unknown and inaccessible to her.

If I hear back anything from the senator I will post the reply, though her office is notoriously unresponsive.
